Memories

Sometimes people say: "When people reconstruct something, the details of the memory are often wrong." They claim people just fabricate a story.

It’s a little more complicated than that. The general trend of an event is what matters most. For example, let’s say you were in a situation that was uncomfortable; you felt something was "off," and that feeling is what guides the memory. The specific details of the story might be wrong, but that wasn't the point.

The point you wanted to make is that the tone of the entire setting was off, because that is the most important part. In order to save time and energy, it’s possible that you fabricate a story around that feeling to communicate the essence of what happened.

Being right doesn’t count

Does consciousness exist? This is the same question as "Does a higher power exist?" Maybe it doesn’t, but it’s more fun with it.

I wanted to know how my brain worked, so I just asked.

Consciousness is the thing that rotates.
