Maybe you know this feeling: you get caught in a certain ‘loop’ within yourself.

A few hours have passed, and you’ve become more stressed.

All you have to do is not do it. It’s the simplest thing there is. And yet, you make that mistake over and over again.

“Oh, this isn’t working,” and you move on again—that’s the solution.

Life is, at its core, the simplest thing there is. Really. But putting it into practice, learning the finer details, can be difficult.

But the moment you actually manage to do it, you feel an incredible sense of victory. It’s like a burden you’ve lost forever.

Why are the lessons in life so incredibly harsh?

Maybe you recognize this. You’re dealing with something, and you spend hours overthinking it.

The next day, you do the same thing.

The day after that, you do it again.

In the beginning, it may have worked. But at some point, it doesn’t anymore.

This is how life explains to you that you are the one making your own choices.

When you understand this, it can be the most liberating feeling in the world. Because you never have to do it again.

Because the lesson is:

Doesn’t it work? → Then do something else.

Now the question is: why did you do it in the first place? Your body is showing you that the way you look at the world can create a lot of unnecessary stress within you.

But you also learned something else: you learned how to switch in your brain from one thought pattern to another. So learning is always two-sided. You have also learned something about your own body.

Some people, as it were, look within themselves and pay attention to the tone of the entire conversation. Then you calmly look at what there is a need for.

I can hardly explain it, because it’s almost as if you see everything at once. I often start with the darkest emotion, fear for example, but I mostly think in terms of things like sexy and so on.

People who want to help others often come up with these incredibly complex sets of rules that work for them, like this:

  • Rhythm
  • Social connection
  • Nutrition
  • Exercise
  • Creativity

Yes, those things are incredibly important.

Do you know what’s most important?

Life is the easiest thing there is. That’s step one. And the world is a beautiful place.

If you believe, at its core, that life is easy, it kind of becomes that way too.

What’s important is that, at its core, life is always simple. We live in a time when everything is made to seem complicated. Depression? Something incredibly complex and biomechanical. You’re better off starting with simplicity.

If it’s the easiest thing in the world, it’s simply: “Then I’ll just do it, right?” It’s a certain tone you use when you do it: “Ah, of course, mate. How hard can it be?” — “No problem at all.” As if you’ve never done anything this easy before.

The difficult part is when you don’t do this, and you’re already in a heavy, gloomy mood, and then someone else makes it even more complicated. That only makes it harder.

If I start working now and stop in the afternoon, I know one thing for certain: a feeling has been added. A feeling of hunger. So, in a way, we can predict the future a little bit.

Religion is a bit like a feeling of hunger, but more complicated. There is a feeling that has entered your circle that you don't understand yet. And you don't have to do anything with it.
