Never walk away from your darkest fear.
Do you have a dark memory, a real fear? Always move towards that.
Replay the horrible memory in your head. Make it as detailed as possible.
Or go to that feeling in you.
The power of the human body is in the body, not in the brain. The raw, real power is when you look down, not where you think about.
Never walk away form your darkest fear. Do you have dark memory, a real faer? Always move twaords that. Replay the horrible moemory in your head. Make it as detialed as possib;e. Or go to that feelingin you/
Every Step of the Way
What’s So Sad About Psychiatry
Let’s say you have a lot of energy.
You grow up in a household where every time you speak out, people tell you to shut up.
Or every time you want to express an emotion, you are told not to be a ***.
Anytime this happens, you feel a little bit of tension around your jaw, since your voice and emotions are things that need to get out, not in.
The tension increases.
Over a period of 20 years, this is around 219,000 bonus points of extreme tension in your body.
You are so used to swallowing everything that you forget that you do this.
Now, you feel like trash 24/7. Your body has so much tension that you don’t feel anything at all. So, you go for substance abuse or other things, because it’s meaningless to you anyway. You don’t feel anything, so why not?
Now you derail.
Now, you go to the doctor. The doctor sees you and says: you have a substance problem and a psychosis.
Who did something wrong in this story?
Nobody. The patient did nothing wrong. And the doctor did nothing wrong. You can blame the parents, and it indeed is their fault, but they also inherited that from their parents.
So when you see somebody walking the streets, mumbling, this is how that goes. It’s one big streak of not making mistakes, but also of a lot of people not taking any responsibility. The doctors do what they can, but they also do a lot of superficial things, copying the reports of others. There are also insurance companies, so we need diagnoses. And people themselves also can take their own responsibilities.
The reason I am typing these things is because a few years ago I was this person, and now I am functioning as a relatively normal adult. The bizarre thing is that from a patient’s perspective, the steps you take make perfect sense. You don’t really know that you have learned things the wrong way. Since you are inside yourself, you don’t realize how much you have internalized.
When you are in this spot, the whole world, basically everybody else, looks like your enemy. You think everybody who looks at you is judging you.
