Consciousness Is a Consent Thing

Without consciousness, we could live in the exact same world without realizing we are alive.

In the Bible, they explain this very well. Suddenly they were aware of their nakedness.

"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked."

This is the start of awareness, consciousness, the first consent. So they were not really tricked by the devil.

The unbelievable part is that—I am not religious myself—this is the kind of stuff that legitimately makes you wonder whether there is a higher power or not. It's just so smart and elegant.

Bonus

Eating the apple was the correct move, since without consciousness, people are not accountable for their own actions. If I could explain every action by saying, "It wasn't me, I wasn't there," then nobody would be accountable for anything.

I was in a psychosis once. I was in very bad shape, but I still vividly remember that I was conscious. This is an important difference.

Just like when we are sleeping. It's not like there is nobody home, ever. Even when we are dying, the last thing that remains is us and our own consciousness, our awareness, as it should be.

Do you know what I miss most on Adderall?

My own, authentic way of solving problems. The whole pacing is different.

I like to do things the ADHD way: a lot of dancing around, but when you hit hyperfocus, you don't stop until it's finished.

Working on Adderall is more like a slower-paced rhythm, with less creativity.

Very interesting.
