If It Doesn’t Feel Like Indiana Jones, Then You’re Doing It Wrong
The more you think, the better you become at thinking, and the higher the quality of your thoughts becomes.
What is a thought?
There are multiple forms. For me, most thoughts are inspiration drawn from things I have seen or heard. Therefore, you have to be a little careful during certain phases of your life. Social media, for example, can become your thoughts.
What is awareness?
Awareness means that you are suddenly, and temporarily, aware of something. Sometimes you become aware of your own heartbeat for a few minutes, and then that awareness stops. You are not aware of your heartbeat all the time; you would lose your mind. Awareness sometimes has to do with importance: when you feel pain, it enters your awareness very quickly. Gravity, on the other hand, is something you are rarely aware of.
How to use awareness
Sometimes I deliberately shift my awareness toward something beautiful, like a bird chirping. Or I start to focus intensely on the negative until I have found a solution. Both can work well.
What is consciousness?
Consciousness is your body explaining itself to you. Consciousness is the most spectacular thing I have ever experienced. When I was younger and read about science and religion, I was shocked by how boring the universe seemed. I expected more spectacle. It turned out I was wrong. It is spectacular.
The most dangerous religion in the world
Buddhism. It sounds good, but it doesn’t work. Refocusing your attention from thinking to your breath is judgmental in itself. You are basically saying that daydreaming is bad while the “here and now” is good.
How this universe started
It sprang into awareness.
What freethinking means
Being aware that you can think about anything you want. Anything.
